Much fun and activity was held during these 5 days with Barry Alsop! We were exhausted by the end, but invigorated and motivated to keep shooting.

Part of our days were spent at the Living Arts Centre learning all things Lightroom.  Mardi from the Marmaladies kept everyone extremely well fed during the 5 days. Just some of the activities we participated in were a visit to a working cattle station. We do sincerely thank the Hauff family for allowing us to share their day with them. Stock work can be hectic at the best of times, but to have an extra 10 people with cameras can add a whole new element to the day!

Anther highlight was a overnight trip to the small township of Yaraka (pop 12), about an hour and a half from Blackall. Yaraka has Mt Slowcombe which has magnificent 360 degree views. From here  we had the opportunity to photography both the sunrise and sunset.

We also visited the Blackall Woolscour where the lighting and leading lines lends itself beautifully to photography. These are just some of our activities, each day was was definitely rewarding in being able to practise new techniques learnt.

On the Thursday of the Retreat Blackall held its fortnightly cattle sale in our amazing sale yards. Participants had the opportunity to photograph many and varied breeds of cattle and share in a small part in our agricultural industry.

Off to Yaraka we all headed for our overnight stay.
