2018 was the first time Craig had visited Blackall, and the first Retreat he had hosted for the Blackall Cultural Association. Craig enjoyed his time so much, and the participants learnt so much from the 5 days, we are thrilled Craig is going to return to Blackall in 2019 to tutor another retreat.

The workroom in full swing as the day unfolds.

On Thursday morning we had a visit to our fortnightly cattle sale for those interested. Our visitors from Melbourne had the chance to share in a small part of what makes our part of the Outback special.

We don’t spend all the time at the Living Arts Centre painting!  Late one afternoon we enjoyed wine and cheese at the Roly Poly, a sculpture made of recycled wire, to watch the sun as it sets. We were treated to absolutely magnificent colours in the sky and paint brushes were traded for cameras! A very special end to the day in outback Queensland.
